I know many of you are very frustrated with it being down so long. Well here is the story:
The server went down then our console went down. It took quite a lot of time to contact our host. Once the host was contacted they were working on it which in turn caused us another week of down time. As time went on our host's website when down. So instead of waiting we decided to change hosts.
NOW in doing so, we lost everything. We had to build back up DarkRevil which in turn caused another few weeks of down time. So as you log in you will notice you have a completely fresh start to DarkRevil. Complete reset and new host, which means:
- Banlist reset
- Map reset
- Mcmmo Skills Reset
- New 1.8 map with all 1.8 content
- Possibly some bugs
- NEW Bans, warns, mute, and temp bans listed. (Find these by clicking on the "Bans" button on the nav bar
- NEW Stats (We have some useless but pretty neat things to keep track of now, found under the "stats" button on the nav bar"
- Legendary items are no longer for sale until fixed
- NEW shop section "Trails" (Trails are found ingame with the /tails command)
There are some added little things here and there you will see when you log in. As always please post any report of bugs are abuse and we will take care of them. If there is anything you would like to see added to the server or added back that we missed, please make a post about it.

Today I learned that Darkrevil has experiencing some downtime. It seems the server simply ran out of diskspace around 48 hours ago, and started being wonky. This eventually made the server crash, and because of this some files were corrupted. Bree went ahead and removed a large portion of logs along with some other useless junk taking up space. I managed to recover most corrupted data. The server should now be running flawlessly.
In other news, I decided to make use of the downtime to apply some changes. It's important that you read and understand the following.
ObsidianDestroyer has been altered. Obsidian now has 10 durability instead of 3. This means it takes 10 explosions to cause it to break. It is also no longer protected by water. So pouring water over your obsidian base will have no effect. The TNT will be able to break it in 10 hits. To make this fair, all other blocks are still protected by water. The mossy cobblestone block has also been altered. It has a durability of 2, but like obsidian it cannot be protected by water.
You can now connect with any client you want. You are no longer forced to run a 1.8 minecraft client. It seems that some players would rather enjoy their shaders, statushud and various other mods then have the ability to see the new blocks. If you use a 1.7 client, all the 1.8 blocks will appear as stone. Endermites will look like silverfish. Lanterns will look like glowstone. You probably won't even notice :)
Mobspawners now has a 50% chance to drop from explosions, instead of a previous 25%. This is to balance out mobspawners and make them a little more common. You can also raid other factions spawners with TNT, simply by shooting them.
Creepereggs has been added to the shop. They are sold for 3500$ per egg. TNT prices has been nerfed serverely. I hope this will encourage you to raid some more :)
An custom forcefield detector has been added to the server. It's a little bit like the previous one, but will only check players if they are have very high nocheat-violations. It will also check all players at least one time an hour, to prevent auto xp farming.
